Membership has its privileges
Today we rode the bike to the California Academy of Sciences for their morning member hour where only members are admitted. We have done this once before and it was great as we had many of the exhibits all to ourselves. Today we just visited the penguins and looked at one of the big aquariums, but it was pretty great to just let Emmett "walk" along the edge of the tanks and have the penguins come up to him to check him out from the other side of the glass. Pretty good stuff.

O & 'Lo! What tears are these? What a beautiful picture of Emmett and the penguin home. This is such a dear, dear image. You must keep this and give it to him when he sets off for Antarctica in 2033 to save the penguins.
It might be because they are most recent, but I have to say that these two pictures are two of my favorite even if they are horribly out of focus (camera phone) and the lighting is weird. There is just something that I really like about the mutual interest between Emmett and the penguins.
